When the lights go up on May 13 at Bank of America Stadium for the first U.S. stop of Shakira’s highly anticipated Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, the global superstar won’t take the stage alone. Among 50 powerhouse women chosen to walk alongside her will be Adriana Chavela, founder of Hola Carolina and one of North Carolina’s most passionate voices for Latina empowerment.
The international singer is honoring 50 influential women from North Carolina who embody strength, leadership, and the fierce “she-wolf” spirit that defines her tour. These women are transforming their communities, igniting movements, and leading with purpose — and Adriana Chavela is a shining example.
“This moment is more than a personal honor — it’s a reflection of what we’ve built together at Hola Carolina, a community that uplifts, includes, and celebrates Latina women,” said Chavela. “To walk alongside Shakira, someone who has always used her platform to uplift others, is beyond meaningful. I’ll be walking for all the mujeres who show up every day to make North Carolina better.”
As the Colombian singer makes her dynamic entrance into the show, the 50 selected women will accompany her into the stadium, showcasing a united front of Latina excellence and power.
“These women represent the best of who we are. I am in awe of their accomplishments and am honored that they will be with me for my first U.S. show this year,” said Shakira in a statement.
The Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran tour marks a powerful new chapter for Shakira — one rooted in healing, strength, and solidarity. As Adriana Chavela steps into the spotlight alongside her, she carries with her the spirit of an entire community — one that is still healing from the devastation of Hurricane Helene. Her presence honors a deep commitment and tireless sacrifice to uplift others, even in the face of adversity.
