  • Competitive Exhibits In 2019 over 12,000 individuals competed for a chance to receive a portion of the $234,000.00 offered in prize money. Competitions include: Livestock, Art, Baked &Preserved Foods, Photography, Woodworking, Flower and Garden

Friday: Gates open at 9 a.m.; Rides open at 10 a.m.; close at midnight
Saturday: Gates open at 9 a.m.; Rides open at 10 a.m.; close at midnight 1st
Sunday: Gates open at 9 a.m.; Rides open at 10 a.m.; close at 11 p.m. `
2nd Sunday: Gates open at 9:00 a.m.; Rides open at 10 a.m. Closing night: Rides, buildings and all exhibits close at 9 p.m.
Monday –Thurs: Gates open at 3 p.m.; Rides begin at 4 p.m., close at 11 p.m.

Attendance:
2019: 171,391 Good weather, hard rain second Saturday evening
2018: 141,857 Closed early on second Saturday, closed Sunday for Hurricane Florence
2017: 166,583 Closed on Monday due to Hurricane Irma, sunshine both week-ends
2016: 182,683 Good weather.
2015: 190,327 Ingles Day set record, second year over 190,000 attendees
2013: 191,596 Highest attendance, great weather

Demographics:
The fair draws from all over North Carolina, Upstate South Carolina and Eastern Tennessee, with the majority of attendees coming from within a 60-mile radius Economic impact of more than 3 million dollars on the local community annually

Tickets:
Adults – $10.00; Advance tickets $8.00 Children, ages 6 to 12 years, and senior citizens 65 years and over – $6.00; Advance price $4.00 Children, 5 years of age and under – Free Groups of 30+ people – Advance tickets $7.00
